What is the program?
Great Parents Great Start helps parents become their child’s most effective teachers. The program is a home-based literacy program for young children and their families. It is designed to help develop language and literacy skills for children under the age of five and parenting skills for parents through home visits and optional group programs.

Who can participate?
Families with children age birth through age five are eligible. Children must have three risk factors that place them at possible risk for future school difficulties.

Where and when does the program take place?
Home visits and Kindermusik® classes are arranged to meet family needs. No transportation is provided.
