LIVONIA, Mich., May 30, 2011 — Inkster, Mich.-based Starfish Family Services (Starfish), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating brighter futures for the children of at-risk families in metropolitan Detroit, hosted a Food, Fun & Family Night for Livonia Head Start Families on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
The event was held at 4 p.m. at 32940 Schoolcraft Road in Livonia, Mich. and offered free dinner, games and food baskets for 100 families in need. Busch’s donated the food baskets and cooked and served food for all 200 attendees at the event.
“This partnership has been wonderful for our families,” said Kalass. “Busch’s is a great family-owned, service-oriented organization. Through their generosity, the children we serve are able to have wholesome, filling meals at home, as well as here at Starfish.”
The partnership between Starfish and Busch’s was coordinated by Bill Heaton, president of the Livonia Goodfellows, Inc.
